    Anyone out there heard of/see/played the new MacGregor, forged
    JNP's?? These have Jack's signature in the cavity.

| 1174.2 | I have an opinion | ODIXIE::MIKELL | Thu Mar 14 1991 15:07 | 8 | |
| Hi, I play with a guy that has a set, he works at the MacGregor factory
    here in Albany Ga. and swears that they play like a set of Hogans. I
    hit the clubs one day and this seems to be true. They hit very well on
    a shot hit in the middle of the clubface, but seem to have a very small
    sweetspot and are not as forgiving as a set of Pings or other game
    improvement clubs. In my opinion they would be great for a low handicap
    player who hits true each time, but would not suggest them for a high
    handicap player.

| Sounds like a typical Nicklaus design to me. He was my favorite player
    before he became a conglomerate, but I think the only clubs he is
    really confident designing are clubs for better players. I think you're
    right on the money. BTW, have you noticed how many guys are playing
    Hogan clubs on tour this year ?
