| I would like to express interest in this type of tournament. I would
enjoy the opportunity to play a round of competitive golf with my wife
as a partner. One question? I have a USGA handicap, However my wife
does not. Would it be possible to play as a team with my handicap?

Does your wife have a handicap from any league? OR has she had a
handicap from any league or a USGA cap?

I am going to make things even easier to partake in this event.
You don't have to have a handicap (cause I know everybody that
plays golf is totally honest) you can just let me know what your
average 18 hole round would be and I will give you a handicap.
So, get those names coming in...

day--Thursday. I may have a partner depending on the time and date.
Otherwise I would be interested in finding a partner---I have a DEC
league 9 hole handicap of 13. I think it is a great idea---is it a
best ball, a Scotch foursome, scramble, or what?

It looks like the tentative date is July 27th (a Friday). The format
as stated will be 2 person best ball (net) 18 holes. If everybody is
willing to make the drive it will be at Bretwood in Keene, NH.
Assuming that July 27th is the date and Bretwood the site, please let
me know by the end of the day this Friday who will definately make it.

The date, time, and place have been set...
It will be July 27th, at Bretwood in Keene, NH, the first group
to go off at 8:30...
If you are interested just reply here or send me some mail... It
will be limited to the first 20 teams that contact me...

When I talked to the person at Bretwood today, he informed me
that he didn't need a confirmed count on the number of players
untill the week before the 27th and since a lot of people are
on vacation this week and next, I am going to change the deadline
to get into the tourney to July 13th (or untill 20 teams sign
up)...

| I know this will come as a surprise after note 950.9 but I and my wife
are interested. She has taken an interest in golf and we are planning
a Ponomah Green excursion tomorrow - perhaps her score from that can be
used to calculate her handicap. She hasn't played for a few years but
back when Thunderbird (moment of silence) was still around she posted
some nice scores (I recall her chipping in for birdie one night (yes
night, TBird was under the lights).
Our only problem is 14 month old Phil who we rarely babysit for. In
fact if you get an overwhelming response we will bow out but otherwise
I will plan for the 27th. I will try to get my hcap back down to 15
where it belongs from its current 18.

there are any women out there they want to play and don't have a
partner, just let me know and I can put you in contact with guys
that are looking for a partner...

We have 11 teams right now and there is room for more...
What happened to all those avid women golfers, come on out, it
will be a lot of fun, the course is in great shape, the weather
is going to be beautiful (I've had the order in for a while ;-)),
meet some more Decie golfers, have a few laughs...!

We had another team sign up, to make it a nice even 12 teams, but
then we had a lst minute cancellation. So, we still need one more
team to even up the foursomes. If you are initerested and have a
partner, please let me know. We have a few guys that are interested
in playing, but they need a female partner. Come on ladies, give it
a shot...

Well, we had some great weather (read hot) and some low scores...
The winners (of the first annual?) were Stu Osborne and Izzy
Symmonds at 16 under...
Second place went to Al Brackett and Helen Kennerly at 14 under...
Low net prize (woman) went to Izzy Symmonds at 4 under...
Low net prize (man) went to Chuck Deming at 7 under...
Closest to the pin (woman, she got lucky) was Pat Kelley...
Closest to the pin (man) was Stu Osborne...

| Gene, I'm just back from vacation which explains my lateness in
thanking you for another great tournament. I don't think my partner
has stopped shaking yet from being so nervous but everyone was
friendly and supportive to her so I'm sure that helped in her
