| 845.1 | Marlboro area shopping | HPSTEK::PASCO | Mark 'PASCO' Pascarelli | Fri Jan 12 1990 08:19 | 16 |
| | There are 2 "discount" golf stores in the Marlboro area.
    A "NEVADA BOB'S" about 3 miles from the MR01 plant and a
    "NEW ENGLAND GOLF SUPPLY" about 1 mile from the MR01 plant.

    Assuming you mean "NOW" when lot's of pro shops are closed
    you could also check out places like LECHEMERE (department store ?).

    I'm sure there are others out there that can give you prices on
    whatever kind of clubs you are interested in. If you get to Marlboro
    Look me up and I'd be glad to drive you to the above mentioned stores
    some day at lunch or after work. Just go to the 3'rd floor of the
    MR01 plant and ask for "PASCO".

| | Someone once told me you can buy Pings at Spags in Shrewsbury, MA.
    Apparently they're not on display, you have to ask for them. Good
    price, too!!  Can anyone verify?

    Sorry, the question in my last message should have been "What's
    the best place in the Marlboro area to buy clubs".

    Ciao

| 845.4 | Dallas Prices | DPDMAI::DAVIES | Mark, SCA Area Network Consultant | Mon Jan 15 1990 09:52 | 11 |
| | Ping Woods in Dallas, TX cost about $85-100 each. A set of Ping irons
    (2-PW) runs in the area of $550-600. A 15 pack of ProStaff balls goes
    for $11.99 and Titlest Balata's go for about $21 a dozen.

    It was 60 F when I got up this morning at 6:30am and we expect it to
    reach about 70 F today (partly cloudy).

    Hit 'em straight,

| 845.5 | Color Coded Pings | DUGGAN::DIAZ | Octavio @GSB | Tue Jan 16 1990 12:06 | 16 |
|  |     Re:                     <<< Note 845.0 by BONNET::SPILLARS >>>
    As a previous note mention the irons go somewhere around $500. The
    only problem with Pings is that they are only sold at the courses
    Pro-Shops, andd as another note mentioned many are closed at this
    time of the year. On top of that Pings come in many different lays
    (color coded) and lengths, so if you find a set at a Pro shop, it
    will most likely be regular lay and length. If you want them
    tailored it could take a couple of months to get them.

    Sooo.... you don't mentioned what your plans are, if they are to buy
    Pings in the US, I recommend that you go a local pro shop and find
    out what color code you are, and then have someone here order them
    for you ahead of your trip.

| 845.7 | Sold at Discount Houses | DPDMAI::DAVIES | Mark, SCA Area Network Consultant | Thu Jan 18 1990 14:00 | 8 |
| | Pings are sold at discount houses throughout the Southwest. As noted
    previously, get the color code for your physical dimensions and then
    order up a set (about 2 months lead time). I use the orange dot.

    Regards,

| 845.8 | Homesick for Dallas | ESKIMO::JIMENEZ |  | Fri May 25 1990 04:26 | 9 |
| | I just moved from Dallas to N.E. and boy are the prices higher up
    here. I'm used to paying 8-10 dollars for 18 holes where I am lucky
    if it gets me 9 here. Just a note...My favorite course, which was
    what I called my home course in Dallas, was Stevens Park in Oak
    Cliff. It's a wonderful little course .Another great course was
    Grapevine. Oh how I miss that Dallas weather......
