| | Based on his strong showing in the majors, his international record,
and his two wins here in America, I would nominate Greg Norman for
    golfer of the year.

I understand that the PGA golfer of the year is decided on a point
system, and that Calcavecchia and Stewart are the leading contenders
to date. So my choice is based on a more personal and extra-PGA
    basis. Norman's my man.

Anybody know what the point system is that they use to decide the
    winner....?

BTW, here is a list of top ten finishes in the order that the globe
    has them through Sept. 3rd...

| | You mean US tour golfer of the year?

Stewart or Calcavecchia, but isn't that what you have the money
    list for?

If it's not just US tour then Nick Faldo - he's gone into just about
all the majors as pre-tournament favourite; won one and played well
in the others. He's also won around the world.

| | My choice is Payne Stewart. He seemed like he was in contention
    every week.

Nick Faldo gets my choice overseas. He, along with Calcavecchia,
missed too many U.S. tournaments, though.

    player ....
