| | He's been on the European tour for quite a long time, the last few
years (the only ones I remember) he's been fairly consistent (top 20?
at least). He narrowly missed selection for the last Cup (or was
it the one before) - I think he was one place outside the automatic
places, but not selected by Jacklin. He's had a tournament win this
year, which is one reason he's been picked above higher money winners
    this time.

As has been said the other O'Connor is his uncle, but then I'd never
really heard of him until someone told me that Jnr was Snr's nephew!
(Snr is way before my time!)

| | Hi,
Senior is one of the great ball strickers of all time and would
have been another Roberto D' had he wished to travel and compete
    worldwide.
I watched him in both Dublin and in various Scotland events. He
is a very strong senior golfer!
Wish he would have shared his talents with this side of the "pond"!
Also, thanks for the clarification as to the Jr./Sr. relationships.

| | Well,

Jr, once was commented by another (younger) pro about club selection on
par 3. The younger player was able to find the green with a shorter iron,
wheras Jr not saying anything, just getting 13 balls out
of his bags, hitting the balls onto the green with 13 diffrent clubs.

My opinion is that this guy has lot of talent, and his last fareway
shot in the Ryder Cup really proves it.

    Regards
