    Hi Phil,

    A dir/all/title=killington showed note 121.16...

I played up there with my wife 2 years ago. I really liked the layout
of the course (I thought it had a little maturing to do then). As
you could have guessed it is quite hilly...!!!! I think you will
enjoy it... Give us your thoughts when you return...

| | Phil,

My husband and I went up and played Killington 2 years ago August,
it was nice, but it's a new course, and needs to do some maturing.
Very hilly, and bring a lot of balls!!! Rough was tough, and lots
of rocks under fairways, because it is so new....but it was still
    fun playing up there.....Enjoy!

| 696.3 | Killington - very enjoyable | MEMV03::BREEN |  | Fri Jul 28 1989 11:27 | 8 |
| | I also played there once several years ago with my wife. Bottom
line was we enjoyed it quite a bit but the course is very difficult
bacause of the terrain, woods, brooks and in some cases small landing
    areas.

Definitely go by cart. It is (obviously) a very scenic 18 holes.

| | This is an old note but I need info. I may be going up there in
September. Has anyone played/stayed there recently? Any updates
    will be appreciated.

    Thank you,

| 696.5 | Killington is FUN! | STRATA::BTOWER |  | Mon Jul 15 1996 14:25 | 28 |
| | I have played there in June the last 5 years. It is a very beautiful
scenic course. This year it was in rougher shape than usual. I would
assume because of the tough winter we had. Snow was still on the top
of the mountain.(which is not unsual for Killington, but last winter
    was especially tough).

It is a very challenging/unforgiving course. You need to stay in the
fairways(which is my problem). The rough is very deep in most places
and if you go too wide you can almost always kiss your ball goodbye.
You may find it or somebody elses but usually the woods gobbles em up.

We go up every year as a group of twenty and get a package deal.
The normal price for 18 holes is 50 bucks. Plus 15 more a person for
the cart. Not Cheap. But, you WANT to get a cart. You DO NOT want to
walk this course unless your in olympic type shape. I again assume
that's why they charge the 30 bucks for the cart. Cuz you'll pay it!

I love playing up there because it is simply gorgeous. The course is
normally in excellent shape. September sounds like an awesome time
to go due to the leaves changing then. I would recommend going very
much. I have always enjoyed playing there. Even when I'm playing
badly(which unfortunately happens a lot). We normally stay at the
Pinnacle Condo's right next store to the 9th hole. They are fully
furnished(fridge, stove, microwave, Tv, Vcr, porch) two bedroom
    condo's.
