Hello golfers
I would like to learn how to play golf, but I don't want to
learn from my boyfriend (neither of us has the patience). Does anyone
know of a place in the Greater Boston area that teaches golf? I
would like to keep travel time to less than one hour.

e Also, do I need a set of clubs
or can I rent a set. I plan on buying a set after the lessons.
Are there any resources listing the courses in my area?
If so how can I get them?

Hi Michele,
I take it from your node address that you work in Salem, right?
If so, the pro at Hoodkroft in Derry gives lessons (434-0651).
I would think that you would be able to use some renatl clubs
there. They also give indoor lessons at Sea Coast Golf in
Manchester (668-2272). Most of the courses have pros available
to give lessons...

Mi,
Near Boston takes in a lot of Geography. Be more specific.
If you are near Rte 128 and 138, take 138 south toward Canton,
Andy Moss is a good teaching pro, will lend clubs, and are very
accomodating. Call the Blue Hills Country Club and ask for the
Pro Shop. The pro is Vinnie Del Zoppo.

Andy Moss just won the Massachusetts Open. He is not only a good
golfer but really knows the mechanics of a swing and is able to
teach them. Can recommend him highly enough!!
