| 1208.1 | Not just the case? | DONZ::SOUDER | Don Souder dtn 348-4933 | Fri May 23 1997 14:53 | 5 |
| | I attended a customer meeting where David Poole (Enterprise Server Mgr)
indicated that were also some issues with the backplane - so you may have no
choice but to replace the entire assembly (that's what our local MCS engineer is
doing). Of course, I wouldn't take my word for it - I'd find someone who KNOWS
what the story is - I'm an innocent (?) bystander in SBU Tech Support.

| 1208.2 | Option Only | DONZ::SOUDER | Don Souder dtn 348-4933 | Tue May 27 1997 15:21 | 3 |
| | We are working the upgrade of a large number of DWLB boxes. I double-checked
with logistics and they tell me that you can only order the entire option -
there are no "sub" part numbers.

| 1208.3 | DWLPB-BA motherboard rev? | TROFS::LAM | Dave Lam | Wed May 28 1997 18:38 | 8 |

    I have a PCIB motherboard (54-24721-01) rev B01 that I would like to
    return to stock but in light of 1208.1, what should the motherboard rev
    be for the modified DWLPB-BA? I did have a rev B02 54-24721-01 which I
    put into a 8400 for a problem.

    thanks

| 1208.4 | are there compatibility issues? | GIDDAY::HIRSHMAN | Hugged your Webmeister today? | Mon Jun 02 1997 06:47 | 8 |
| | I'm another one who needs to know if there are any restrictions at all
    on using early rev DWLPB motherboards in the new rev B02 DWLPB-Bx boxes.

    The MCS spares stocks held by GSO are rarely the latest and greatest
    revision, and I'm experiencing a major problem while trying to replace a
    faulty rev B02 motherboard using rev B01 spares (see note 1215).
