Chris,
I'm surprised nobody has replied to this note. I complained about
this ribbon cable when I had a "TurboLaser Customer Audit Team" down
at an insurance company site in Hartford. It made little sense to
have a disk drive slot available if you can't get to it.
The next 8200 that arrived on site had the cable re-routed and the
disk drive was accessible.
My next question is: Is there an ECO that covers this cable reroute?
Obviously, the build orders to manufacturing have changed. Can the
field get some details on the parts/rework required to implement this
change?

Yes, there is an ECO to recess PCB header for this cable.

You can replace whole center plane assy(70-31086-01) with ECOed parts
and send it for ECO. I post an ECO documentation in next entry.
