Hi Ben,
The backplane is the same only the cpu board and the clk module will be
replaced.

| I was told you need to do work on the backplane as well, and it is NOT
a simple upgrade from 300 to 440 or 622.

| No backplane work. Two screws on clock card, 2 quick connectors, swap
CPU modules, boot system. That is all that is required. We jump back
and forth between CPU speeds in engineering all the time.

| Yep, the way I now understand it is:
Upgrading from 300mhz cpus to 440/622:
8200: needs backplane work
8400: no backplane work needed.

No backplane work! The 8200 requires the addition of 2 terminators
that are inserted like modules on the backside of the backplane. It simply
involves pulling the cover, adding the 2 terminators. Re-installing the
cover. The 8200 backplane is the same as the 8400 backplane.

(EK-KN7CE-IN. A01).
This card can be ordered, downloaded from TIMA, or copied as a
PostScript file:
