Hi !
Do You have any problems reaching the DRAG_RACING conference ? I keep
getting network partner exited when I try to reach that conference on
NWTIMA. Set host and FAL works fine to the same node.

the moderator of DRAG_RACING and got no reply ...........???

| My guess is Notes is not being installed with the proper privs on
NWTIMA. There should be a whole lot of NETSERVER.LOG file which
identify everyone who's been rejected from accessing DRAG_RACING.
They just moved the node to a different area, so they probably
bungged up something.

I am patiently :^( waiting for the system manager to return from
vacation. Notes is a victim of a VMS 6.1 upgrade. Updates here when
something happens.

| Don,
We're patient. :^). When the system mangler gets back, tell him to
make sure notes$server is installed in memory with the proper privs.
This happened to me once or 4 times.

I'm still getting the "network partner exited" message when I try
to access the Drag Racing notes conference. Is anyone else still
having problems?

| It's broken. It probably works on the local node, therefore "it's
fixed!" was a little premature. The tightarses on EASYNET_CONFERENCES
threatened to write lock (I'M GOD) the drag_racing topic because a
few folks mentioned it was still broken there.
SYSTEM on NWTIMA:: doesn't answer (which makes sense for security
reasons). Who do you talk to? NWTIMA is up and running, simply
do a DIR NWTIMA:: and you can see it's up.
I think someone (I moderate NASCAR, and rescued it from a TIMA node)
should take the conference and make it available again. I'd do it
if the correct person would contact me.

| I'm in the process of taking the notes file. I paged the owner of
NWTIMA:: Or if anyone with privs on NWTIMA who has access to
DRAG_RACING.NOTE would contact me we'd be in business. Anyone who
moderates the file would remain a moderator of the file, but wouldn't
be able to modify the system it runs on. We'll see what happens.

| To add/update your notebook for DRAG_RACING do the following:
NOTES> MOD ENT DRAG_RACING/FILE=VMSNET::DRAG$NOTE:DRAG_RACING
This is the origonal drag_racing conference hosted by Don Berry.
Don Berry is still the moderator of the fastest file on easynet.
