2837.0. "Musicbox Gurus?" by LARVAE::MOORE_A () Sun Feb 02 1992 09:06
    I've been playing with MusicBox as one of my first intros to the
    midi world (until I get enough 'pocket money' for some commercial
    software).

    I'm pretty impressed with what it can do - I went through the
    examples in the manual and then built myself a drum sequencer out
    of thin air! Looking at the modules available, the package could
    potentially do a lot of the things I want out of midi like dumping
    registrations and voice data onto and off my PC.

    Trouble is, the manual is concise to say the least - especially
    when it describes the use of the modules that have access to 64K data
    areas.

    Are there any musicbox gurus out there who could pass on some examples
    of how they used the program - or even better point me at a more
    comprehensive user guide?

    BTW - I had trouble unarcing the files in midilib - other notes
    cover this old chestnut. There is a pointer to a clean copy
    however in the IBMPC_SHAREWARE conference.

    Regards

    Andrew
