address and phone number. Listen to "Boston Music Showcase" Sunday
evenings from 6 to 10 for possible updates.

If you can, get your buddies together and carpool because there will
be special group rates available. 1st ticket will be $50. Second and
on is $40 per person on the same order blank. Preregister to get on
the mailing list so you can get an order blank to fill out for you and
	your buddies.

Why:	This conference is an opportunity for music makers in the New England
area to make contact with and to learn from people in the business
who are interested in developing talent here.

If you read my review of the "Fall Music Conference" you know that this was
an opportunity not to be missed if you are serious about making money while
making music in New England. As I mentioned, I literally and figuratively
walked away with a bag full of useful information. I met people in the
business that I may now be working more closely with in the future. Now is
your chance to participate in the next event and to start getting to know the
people and information you need to know to be successful.

Call now and register so that they will have some idea of who and how many will
participate. You'll also save yourself 10 bucks or more. Don't plan on just
reading my review to get all you need out of this next conference. This
business is very people-oriented. At least half of the value was in getting
to meet and discuss issues of interest with these people and to begin what will
hopefully be long-term relations. And, even though I did my best to pack as
much information from the conference as I could in my review, you just can't
expect that I got everything of importance, let alone everything that would
have been of importance or interest to you. For example, I didn't even
mention that some professionals critiqued demo tapes. I completely missed
one of the panels. I think I've made my point. You need to call.

I hope to see some of y'all at the SMC. Be sure to thank Harvey for the
efforts that he and others are doing for us. He can be reached through the
conference registration number, (617) 728-1463. And, it won't hurt if you
mention that you got this over the computer network. BTW, I have no
affiliation with any of the folks putting this on. I'm trying to support this
because I'm getting a lot out of this and feel really bad that they didn't get
the response they should have last time and that so many of us lost out on the
opportunity. I don't want that to happen again.

Happy music making and I hope to see some of y'all out there!

A few days ago I got a flyer on the Spring Music Conference (my version after
the form feed). The folks holding the conference have indicated that response
so far has been good from y'all. Thanks! As I mentioned before, the Fall
Music Conference was invaluable. This coming conference is a conference not to
be missed! You'll note that they have added a section for computer musicians.
*** That was done with US in mind! *** :)

Harvey Wharfield quoted me a group rate of $50 for the first person and $40 for
each person after that if you list everybody with the same form. In about a
month I plan to submit my form with deposits from me and anyone else that plans
to go with me to the conference. You can probably extract the version of the
form I'm posting here and submit it, I think. Any questions, call or write to
the folks listed in the form. Feel free to mention how and where you found out
about this. Updates about this conference can be heard Sunday evenings from 6
to 10 during Harvey's "Boston Music Showcase" on Rock 93, WCGY 93.7 FM in
Boston, MA. (Send him your demo tapes if you are local to the Boston area
and want to get airplay on the show. I've already gotten a little airplay and
I expect that if your stuff is good, you probably can, too. Doesn't
necessarily have to be rock and roll.)

If you would like to go in with me, send me e-mail and I'll add you to my list.
I'll need deposits before I send the list in. I plan to carpool it in and
though we might not all fit in the same car (mine is tiny) it would probably
be in good taste for those on my list to show up together.

Anyway, my version of the form is after the form feed. FWIW, I have no formal
affiliation with these folks. My enthusiasm for this event is because of my
experiences with the last event and with the people involved.

This is a MUST DO event! :)
