List on this box is $1395! Best price I've ever seen was $950. It
looks like it would be a great little box, especially if you can get
    it in that price range.

| | Oops. Sorry...Sierra is selling the CM32L for 499 (sale...normal price is
5-something). They don't sell the CM64.
But anyway, any info including reviews would be helpful.
Do they still make this beast, or is it going to disappear soon too?

The list on the CM-32L is $650, I've seen it going for $450. There is
also a CM-32P which lists for $795, and sells for $620. These babies
are Roland's replacements/extensions to the MT-32. They are part of
Roland's computer music (hence the CM designation) line. I don't think
they're likely to disappear too quickly.

| | If you are looking for a Sierra companion, the CM-32L or MT32 will do
fine, as the game never utilize more than is available on MT32. Will
work fine with CM-64 or RA-50 or whatever is MT32 compatible.

It is amaizing how an old MT32's, someone may say limited capacity
can be turned into super game sound machine in skilled hands.

I have RA50, two 100W speakers and a PC in the middle at home and I can
tell you that Wing Commander sounds make me wet my pants when going
    gets rough in the space.

    -Pasi-

PS. Word of concern: I have tried two different Music Quest interfaces
and none of them seem to work with Wing Commander. Rolad i/f works
    fine.
