    Hi folks,

I have a repair question. A friend has a Kustom Electric piano in need
of a part and they seem to have gone out of business. Does anybody
know if they've been picked up by somebody else where I may obtain
    a part?

What I need to do is replace the coil used to master tune the main
oscilltor for the keyboard. Tuning on this thing is via a slug
inside a coil which is now mashed. The thing is about 2 full tones
out and in a pinch I'm sure I can fix it so it will be in tune but not
    adjustable.

For now he can brush up on his transposing skills.

    Thanks,
    Frank

| That kind of part is going to be hard to find. I would suggest
replacing it with an oscillator, just injecting the signal at a
    reasonable point in the circuit.

The other thing to do is to physically rebuild the coil, molding it
from epoxy or something like that.

I guess I dont' have a problem after all. I actually say the part
this morning and it's nothing moret than a tunable coil and its even
got it's value (adjustable range) written on it. Piece of cake!

    Thanks,
    Frank
