I didn't take the time to read the two notes just mentioned, but
quickly-- I'm not sure where you got the quote of $750 for the U-110,
that seems rather expensive for it, the U-220 is much better and I just
picked one up for $700! I got it at Sam Ash in NYC but they do mail
order as well. (In fact, I had them ship it to me so I wouldn't have
    to pay NY tax!)

There was a patch on the 110 called Fantasy, I notice it's not in the
    220. Anyone know whioh Roland PCM card contains that patch ?

Fantasy is indeed a U-110 patch, not a tone, so you won't find it
    on a card.
You can easily reproduce this patch on your U-220:

    - set all 6 parts to MIDI receive channel 1
    - set part 1 to "BELL 1", output 1
    - set part 2 to "VIB 3", output 2
    - set part 3 to "CHOIR 1", output 1
    - set part 4 to "CHOIR 1", output 2
    - set part 5 to "A. PIANO 3", output 2
    - set part 6 to "A. PIANO 3", output 1

Next, you have to play around with reverb and chorus. The U-110
uses output mode 13 for this patch. Maybe one of the U-110
owners can tell you what this output mode does (it's in the
manual), and what the volume levels for each of the parts are.

    Good luck.

    John.

| | Actually, there is a TONE on one of the later cards (don't recall
the number, but it's the SYNTHs card) which emulates
the infamous D-series fantasy patches. Note that it is a
tone, not a patch, and therefore consumes less voices.

| 2400.9 | U-220 already has these? | IJSAPL::BOUWMANS |  | Wed Sep 19 1990 03:14 | 6 |

I think all the tones on the SYNTHs card are already in the U-220
(standard) and only intended to "upgrade" the U-110.

According to the Roland poop sheet on ROM cards, all the sounds of the
synthesizer card (SN-U110-08) are built into the U-20 and the U-220.
