| | Well, not to be a wet blanket, but we (the general DEC music community)
have done this 4 or 5 times already, each time with diminishing
    attendance and interest.

I think it's worthwhile, but would be surprised if you could get enough
    interest to make it happen....

    guys applaud afterwards?

It might be interesting to do something with the emphasis on "computer"
music (whatever that is? *rathole alert*). Maybe include a grand finale
with a collaborative sequenced effort (whatever happened to that
project to sequence an orchestral work?). If you're talking about the
Boston area, there are some organizations that might be interested in
helping with production/promotion (Mass College of Art, NEWCOMP).
I doubt if there'd be much in the way of proceeds to be donated, but
    it's a nice thought.

Well, sort of. You push your start button and we respond with sampled
applause. Better yet, send us a MIDI feed and we'll make sure you get
a heart-felt, sincere, sampled applause on queue. ;)

| 2303.5 | ZKO is looking for a commusic program | MARKUP::DEVRIES | By their notes ye shall know them | Tue Apr 03 1990 11:44 | 7 |
| | The folks in ZKO Employee Activities approached Dan Murphy with a
suggestion like this last year, and he invented the ZKO Minstrels
instead. If any of you would like to pursue the notion of showing off
your synths and all that, please contact Dan at FOGGYR::MURPHY. And
won't he be surprised I put his name here!
