| | PROverb specifically - only 12kHz range, programs are accessible ONLY
    sequentially from the front panel (ie to get at pgm 100 from pgm 1 from
    the front panel, press uparrow 100 times).

| 1582.2 | Have they addressed these problems? | LOLITA::DIORIO |  | Mon Aug 01 1988 13:10 | 5 |
| | re -1 Yeah those limitations were imposed by the ProVerb I. Does
    that ProVerb 200 (and that other new one they have out--I forget
    the name) have the same limitations?

| | I've owned a Proverb for a year now, and I agree with most of the comments.
It's true that the 12Khz range is limiting, as is the single slider for
mix, ditto on the cumbersome patch change *feature*. But, it isn't that
bad if used properly. I had an upgrade ($85) installed that gives the unit
200 presets (just like the Proverb 200). Would I buy another one?

NO

When ART put the Proverb out on the market I suspect they were trying to
get a jump on Alesis before the MVII hit. I think they got hit hard by the
MVII and are probably putting a lot of their marbles on the Multiverb.
I think you'd be better off buying a Multiverb or MVII.

| 1582.4 | Lukewarm Review from MSO | DRUMS::FEHSKENS |  | Mon Aug 01 1988 17:55 | 8 |
| | The Proverb 200 just got a real lukewarm review from Music Sound
    Output. Basically they said the competition in this market was
    really hot, and the Proverb 200 didn't really hack it - there were
    other low end reverbs that did more, sounded better and cost less.
    It wasn't even a turkey, just the competition was tough.

| | Uh, if you can get a MIDIVERB II for $300 I suggest you politely
    spit in the seller's eye.

    They retail for $269.
