I recently heard that in the near term there will be machines out which feature much of the Kurzweil functionality for 25% of the price, putting them in the personal computer price class, so to speak. I did not hear that Kurzweil himself is going to produce one of these, but that competitors will. Anybody more in-the-know than I who can confirm these rumors?

Not really, but I did hear the same thing. I heard Roland was one of the companies involved, producing a product for about 3K. I should know more after the A.E.S. convention ...Oct. 14th-16th in N.Y.C. Anyone else planning to attend this??? -wjb | |||||
