Hi all of you - I'm here again to talk about Canada/Piedmont links,
but this is another story ...
Within my hobby of genealogy and family history, I am trying (hardly!)
to get notice of relatives still living in Canada.
I know for sure that a side branch of my maternal line has developed
in Quebec: these are the data of my immigrant ancestor:
name/surname : Riccardo Vacchino
born : 1899, Turin (Italy)
migrated to Canada : about 1920
married with : Marie-Jeanne Bergeron
died : 16 Nov 1971 in Alma, Lac St. Jean
Through a complicate search, I found name and address of a grandson of
Riccardo: unfortunately, a letter I wrote him has been sent back from
Quebec with an "incomplete address" stamp.
These are the name and address involved:
Jocelyn Vacchino
rue Orl�ans - App. 7
Gatineau (Qu�bec)
Could some of you be so kind to have a look at phone directories for this
specific name and generally for the Vacchino's in Quebec area ?
As the subject is not of general interest, use of e-mail is probably
more appropriate than Vaxnotes.
In any case, I will be very grateful for every piece of information.

but there is a Dyanne Vacchino in Gatineau

Guys, you are great ! Just got back a nine pages letter from Dyanne. We discovered we are actually cousins (her G-G-Grandfather was my G-Grandfather). Both very excited. Dyanne, who never learned a word of Italian, wants to catch up her links with Italy and Piedmont and our family. There will be a relevant increase of mail traffic Piedmont <=> Quebec.
