Anyone out there know how hurricane "Bob" hit the Maritimes/Quebec?
I have some relatives in the area vacationing.
I heard the hurricane still had some strength when it entered Canada.

Hi,
From what I understand, the Maritimes and Quebec were spared with only
minimal damage. I guess that BOB ran out of steam as it approached the
Maritimes.
I also believe that I read somewhere that two girls were swept away
into the water, were missing and persumed drown. This was somewhere in
the east coast. Sorry but I can't recall in which city.

2 girls and 2 boys were swept out to sea at Cape Forchu, near Yarmouth,
NS. The boys made it back to shore - the girls' bodies haven;t been
found.
