WANTED - ACCOMMODATION REQUIRED IN TORONTO ------------------------------------------ I am young professional lady (non-smoker) looking for rented accommodation in Toronto or the outskirts. I am flying to Toronto in July on a temporary basis (approx 6 months) and would like to find some rented accommodation. I understand that accommodation is hard to come by, so if you know of anybody in the Toronto area looking for a flatmate or lodger please let me know. Alternatively, if you have any suggestions of how to find accommodation once I am in Toronto I would be most grateful. Thanks Angela Durham REO

I can tell you what I did when I first came to Toronto and didn't
have any contacts here. I went to the University of Toronto Housing
Dept. This is a store-house of rental/shared accomodations. This
service is intended only for students but if you pretend you are
one, or ask someone to borrow their card for a couple of hours you'll
be okay.
There is of course the Toronto Star's classified section but a lot
of people are vying for these places. Some hotels and condo owners
also offer temporary accomodation for short-term basis.
Finally, if you are willing to pay the money, accomodation is available
in Toronto. For a 1 bedroom, you maybe looking at anywhere from
$750-800 for a decent place.

RE:TORONTO ACCOMMODATION
I have a close friend in the west end of toronto, (aprox. 30 minutes
by bus from downtown toronto. friend lives alone in a 4 bedroom
house.
while the friend is of the male gender and you appear to be of the
female , you can trust him not to sneak into your room at night.
if you want me to call him for you - to see if he'll put you up
and what he'd charge, let me know.
(my last year in toronto, i boarded at his place and it worked out
great- he's never home.)
