553.0. "Is dial-out to remote systems possible?" by VAXRIO::VENTRIGLIA () Wed May 28 1997 11:22
    *************** Cross-posted on TERMINAL_SERVERS ********************

    Hi,

    There is a customer that is already using DECserver 90M for remote
    dial-up access with no problems. Now they want something different,
    that I am nor sure that is possible.

    There is a remote LAN, with an Alpha running Digital UNIX and a SCO
    Unix machine. He wants to be able to initiate a connection to this
    remote LAN from the DECserver. Would it be possible to configure the
    DECserver in a way that when someone in the same LAN tries to make
    an IP connection to these remote machines, it starts a Dial-up
    connection to these remote machines?

    Thanks in advance for any help.

    Best regards,

    Roberto
