Customer wanted to know if DRAS Manager had a "default" user that
could be modified. As far as I can tell, there is no default that
    can be viewed and/or changed.

Customer would like to request a default user record that can be
modified in order to have a site specific set of attributes that can be
easily cloned when setting up users in DRAS. Ultimately the customer
would really like a default record for each unique group.

Did I miss a function that is already available? Any thoughts on
    adding this kind of capability??

| I don't work on DRAS anymore. That said... > Customer wanted to know if DRAS Manager had a "default" user that > could be modified. While there are 'defaults' for some things, I suspect the customer is looking more for something along the line of the DEFAULT user in OpenVMS' AUTHORIZE utility, thereby allowing commands like: UAF> COPY DEFAULT NEWUSER ... and UAF> MODIFY DEFAULT ... > Customer would like to request a default user record that can be > modified in order to have a site specific set of attributes that can be > easily cloned when setting up users in DRAS. You didn't miss anything. Sounds like a great idea to me. Petition the Product Manager. -Mark | |||||
