    I suspect that as the NIS Server the two users who can't login have set
    their NIS passwd using yppasswd, but still have entries in
    techjj:/etc/passwd file (with a different password). Local admin file
    entries generally take precedence over NIS admin file entries. 
    
    Depending on your requirements, it's probabley easiest just to remove
    these users entries from the local /etc/passwd file & rely solely on
    NIS.
