    A customer has ALL-IN-1 3.2 (ENGLISH) installed.
    
    In Maintain user accounts (MUA) he made a Global Edit to an
    specified amount of user-profiles. The contents oF field 'department'
    should be replaced by blanks. when user entered Spaces or press 'F13'
    It doesn't work, after Global edit the contents of department is same as 
    before. What can he do to manage the problem ?

    Not sure I understand the problem. I assume the user is trying to blank
    all the 'department' fields in these users' Profiles?
    If so, GE is not designed for that. By the very nature of what it does,
    GE only changes those fields on form sm$global$edit that have content.
    Otherwise, GE would always blank unwanted fields. Sorry if I have
    misunderstood you.
    
    To do what the user wants, probably XE is better, or write a small
    script.
