Customer would like to know if users can archive WORD documents?
My initial response was "No", unless converted, these documents
are known to ALL-IN-1 as FGN. Customer would like an "official"
documented answer. Is this restriction documented anywhere? Or,
    should it work?

    Thanks,
    Jean

| It doesn't matter what format the documents are in, since we write the
header info (which would include the handling type) and the body as
    separate files.

On the other hand, the replacement of the body file by the TXT file
that says 'this doc is archived' might not work so well.

    Have they tried it?

| Hi,

Archive works OK at my customer site. They enforce archiving so lots of
external files (word, excel, powerpoint, etc) get the nod. When the user
selects the archived file for read the standard message that Graham
mentioned earlier is displayed. The restore option (RAD) works fine.

    Regards,

    Gary
