Customer is going to connect ALL-IN-1 to Internet through PMDF.
Now files created by PC users and sent to ALL-IN-1 are going through
GEM. In VMS, these files are stored in variable length format. However,
PMDF request these files in fixed length format. OTherwise problem will
arise when delivering binary attachment.
I would like to ask that which version of ALL-IN-1 can handle this
case if customer send a binary files to customers through PC ?
Would anyone tell me how to setup in ALL-IN-1 so that my customer can
send the binary attachment in ALL-IN-1 and how to read the attachment
after customer receive the mail ? Would anyone one sedn GEM document
expereince ?
Any advice should be appreciated.

Forgive my ignorance I do not know what GEM is. PMDF however could be
converted to run a conversion channel which would convert the message
from variable to fixed length, if that's the only issue.

I did some looking and found a PMDF notes conference. Not much there
but this might be the better place for this discussion
