| | <<<< Could someone enlighten me what has gone wrong to his ALL-IN-1 account.

Not based on that amount of information, no...

What version of ALL-IN-1? What version of OpenVMS? Any patches? What is
the simplest thing the user has to do to cause the problem? Does it
affect any other users? Anything obviously different about this
account? When did it start happening? Anything else change on the
    system at that time?

Posting ACCVIO information from ALL-IN-1 crashes isn't useful, because
ALL-IN-1 is relinked during its installation which means that all the
addresses are site specific. To decode an ACCVIO, you also need to PC
and perhaps some of the stack frame. Most importantly, you need the
image to be relinked to get a MAP file, which can then be studied by
you or the customer, to find out which routine was the location of the
    crash.

You must have suspected WPS-PLUS because you replaced the WPSDEF.WPL.
In which case, it's also relevant whether it's a VAX or Alpha.

| | Hi,

The ALL-IN-1 version is 3.0A on VAX system running VMS 5.5-2.

The user can encounter crash dump be it he is in the misdst of editing
a mail, or after reading mail while returning to EM menu. So far, he is
the user who encounter crash dump frequently.

I have also checked his process quota and it is sufficient.

    Regards,

    Jonah

| 2517.4 | Not a very helpful answer.... | IOSG::PYE | Graham - ALL-IN-1 Sorcerer's Apprentice | Thu Feb 13 1997 09:48 | 10 |
| | Well, then the most likely case is that it's one of the random crashes
that we used to get with that very old version of ALL-IN-1. We never
really found out what was cauing the problem, but we have fixed
numerous minor problems that were causing memory corruptions, which
means that the crashes during read don't seem to happen any more.

I seem to remember that the problem used to afflict one person for a
while, and then move on to someone else. We never found out why.

So, the only reliable fix is to upgrade to a more modern version.
