    We have a client who has described the following problem.
    
    They come to use the operator console and get no response.
    When they look at the device it has been assigned/allocated by the
    fetcher!
    If they stop the fetcher then the console is released.
    
    This is all the information we have at present.
    
    ALL-IN-1 v3.1
    
    Any ideas?

Is it reproduceable?

Did they (perhaps mistakenly) start the Fetcher "interactively" from the console?

Did the redirect the Fetcher output to the console?

Are any logical names erroneously pointing at the console?

    There are odd circumstances where the mail code sends messages to the
    operators console, perhaps one of those got interrupted, and left the
    device allocated?
    
    Otherwise, ask the OpenVS folks?
