| | I did read the Mists of Avalon. All four books and they are wonderful
stories but I just recalled something that happened to me driving home
the other day. I went into a trance thinking about my life and not
being thrilled with how it is going and suddenly realized I was almost
home and had no recollection of driving as far as I did. You might
think that's pretty dangerous but my subconscious mind knows the way
    home and drives quite well!

I think this is sort of the same thing that happens when you do
repetitive work. I do this drive (25 miles each way) twice a day, five
days a week and don't need to think about it. Every once in awhile I
will have this trance like feeling but this last time was deeper.

yes, that clicks. i'm certain it happens automatically with everyone,
only your attitude, viewpoint, seems to be different than society's,
at large; you seem to be viewing it as a procreative or creative thing
rather than irrational imagination. statistics suggest that if it
doesn't put bread on the table, it's irrational imagination
(meat-and-potato people). however, your attitude toward your "ideas",
and therefore your interpretation of them, can make the difference between
    light and dark...well, i guess, that's a common thought.

yes, some of my best psychic behavoir comes while i'm dusting. it's
fun to watch peoples eyes bulge and mouths drop when i unleash psychic
percepts on them, so i've become addicted to it (ego). but i don't
tell them i do it by dusting.

(sorry for the use of the indefinite "everyone".)

| | There once was a DEC commuter,
Who's drive to work did so sooth her,
That in one of her trancelike states,
She failed to stop at the railroad gate,
So now, with St Peter she debates!

There once was a psychic duster,
Who's housework, her mind, did muster...
Insights on others and secrets galore!
It shocked them and made them deplore!
Their thoughts bared! Could they trust her?
Too bad she wasn't a maid to Custer! BillM

Without giving too much away, read the notes in 110 about the Silva
mind techniques. I call this alpha state, this will be one of the keys
to what you are looking for. If you want to put yourself into a trance
and then train yourself to go into a trance state quickly, I mean in
seconds here, then this is one excellent way to go.

| | Re .3 Bill, you are too much with your poetry and all. Thanks for the
laugh. Yes, I am also the one who listens to books on tape while
driving. I've read maybe 30 or 40 by now. Its a wonder I even get
    home!

| | Too true Jo, it is very frightening...
I have been in a simular situation. Drove to Germany
in a large convoy of vehicles, in one go. Two people
per Landrover. We go about 3 or 4 hours sleep in the
50 hours it took. At one point when I was drive down
an Autobahn I started to hallocinate. One moment I
the next I was sat knitting :-} One person saw a all
terrain fork lift truck crossing the Autobahn it did
not exist, and another person fell totally asleep at
the wheel. She woke it time, no accident.
