| Gullible people amaze me!!!
First of all if someone has gone on to the after life...leave them
there. It take so much energy for them to come back into our world.
I think it is incredible selfish to ask a spirit to come back just for
our benefit.
Secondly, everyone wants to have contact with the spirit world so much
that they are willing to listen to anyone who states that they have
contact with the dead....
Every person is capable of having contact with angels, spirit guides
and their God-self if they just ask....
We have to ask for contact with them..."When the student is ready the
teacher will appear."
We should all stop looking to others to provide us with answers and
start asking our OWN angels and spirit guides.

Meditation is the only I have found to quiet my mind to allow
angels and spirit guides to communicate to me.
There are certain steps I have learned at the Heart of Dove Center and
also through a lot of reading. I have included these steps below. I
would suggest trying different methods until you find one you feel
comfortable with. This is what I do:
I first surround myself in a protection of white light. If I don't do
this first then I could allow negative spirits come in. I have learned
that when in doubt to asked if the spirit is of the light. If they were
of the light they were they would say yes, if not they would leave.
This is call discernment.
Then I would state I am willing to recieve the love, light and wisdom.
Please make yourself present.
It wasn't easy at first and I didn't get any response for a while
however once I learned to quiet all the noise in my mind I became
receptive.
I first made contact with my angel after about a month. I didn't
believe all of this was true until one night when I saw here face. It
was pretty amazing and I did think that I had gone crazy but I have
since come to believe. Too many wonderful things have happen to me not
to believe.
Just recently I was introduced to my spirit guides. I do not
know their names yet and the encounted was only brief.
The messages I have recieved have been simple. They have not asked me
to save the world or doing something totally incredible for humanity
they have just given me a lot of insight into people, situtations and
my own spiritual path.
Once I got over the fact that I hadn't gone crazy or had become a
flower child I relaxed and enjoyed the whole process. I look forward
to meditating and talking to them.
So that in a nutshell is how I talk to my angels and spirit guides.

I buy most of my books from the Unicorn in Arlington, MA. I make a
wonderful afternoon trip out of it. They let you sit there and drink
herbal tea while you decide which one you want to purchase. The
bookstore is soley devoted to New Age so you can basically find
anything you want there.

My girlfriend is naturally very psychic since youth. Myself very
very little. I gather the ability, although present in everyone as you
say, varies enormously in degree between individuals and is mainly a
function of the body, not the spirit. This ability is also divided into
key areas of strength. a bit like having an ability at music, but not
being very good at composing or chords or harmenising, just playing
melodies.
I understand that all are capable of receiving inspiration, (whether
they realise or not), the majority can feel spirit
presences. Less common is the ability to hear and less common still is
the ability to see. Transfiguration mediums and physical mediums are
less common still. ( I have some notes somewhere, if I can find them)
We have been sitting in a psychic development circle for approx 18
months now. We meet about once a week. It is still early days for me.
I can certainly feel presences. If I am internally quiet, I can project
myself and feel the shape of them/shake hands/hug. I think I can feel
size/shape/sex but need much more practise to be sure. I am a little
paranoid about my own wish fulfillment so tend to want to go slow in
advancement, which will probably hold me up. This is a price I am
willing to pay to keep my intellect quiet.
I seem to be more interested in the what/whys of the universe rather
than spirit communication for it's own sake. Maybe I will write a book
some day, who knows.
