What exactly did you look up in the ephemeris? Pluto is well past
13 degrees Scorpio (it is currently at 22 Scorpio and will not
retrograde back as far as 13). Neptune and Uranus will be conjunct
each other three times in 1993, and will be only one degree apart
during most of 1992. Were you looking up Neptune/Uranus?

From what I know of the heavens, looking up Uranus could
    very well account for it.

    Hi wal,

Yes, Pluto has a very long cycle. Pluto was discovered in 1930. This
is an astronomical fact. It doesn't mean that Pluto wasn't there prior
to its discovery, however. When speaking in astrological terms, there
is a school of thought that says the human psyche becomes aware of the
archetypal energy represented by the planet when we become conscious of
its existence. Will this appeal to the rationally focused mind?
    Probably not.

So, in your highlighting the years 1745, 1497, 1249, etc., are you
looking at the presence of Pluto in the sign Scorpio? This is a
significant placement for Pluto as it rules Scorpio (only since
1930, however ;^) - Mars co-rules Scorpio), and therefore doubles
the emphasize on the specific archetypes represented by the planet/
sign. However, Pluto takes a long time to move through a sign and
to highlight one of the years as being the one that something 'big'
should have happened ignores the remaining 10 years or so. Because
of the nature of Pluto's orbit, it spends the shortest time in
Scorpio and the longest time in the opposite sign Taurus.

About the connection to the phoenix....I don't know much about this
or how the person who wrote about it connected it to Pluto in
Scorpio. But again, understand that this is the first time this
transit is happening when humanity has been aware of the planet's
    existence.

The same goes for the Uranus/Neptune conjunction occurring in
Capricorn in 1993. This is the first time it is happening when
humanity has been aware the the presence of these two planets.

I didn't get that Laurie was picking on anybody for grammar.
What I *did* get is that in her mind she's curious as to what sorts
of mental gymnastics Jamie might have in thinking about Uranus.
Seems fair to me, although I really don't care. When I think of
Uranus I see...never mind, this is all very subjective anyway.

By the way, this past weekend there was a Lazaris set of workshops
in FL and a question/answer session (which will hopefully be released
on tape within the next few weeks---you may be interested in purchasing
that one for the following reason.) Of the nine questions responded
to (in the two hours) was one about astrology. Lazaris mentioned that
in determining our birth within a lifetime, everything is taken into
account, including position of stars and planets (as well as parents,
etc.) And though this "sets the stage" (my words) it does not
necessarily continue to be "important." (again, my words.) He
talked in much more depth (and I've got it second-hand, here) so
you may be interested in the word-for-word account.
(And as an aside, the etheric body, or "light body," is
developed between the causal and astral planes.)

    Frederick
