Yes, hold on to your enthusiasm and have fun! DEJAVU is
certainly an area for like-minded people.
         Though I am as "far out" as most anybody else in here ;-}
I would like to point out a couple of things to you based on
your information. First, *anyone* who is reaching for spiritual
aspects within him/herself will almost automatically be doing
positive things for others. Also, since the name of the game here
is founded on healing our past, healing is definitely an area
that concerns the spiritually enlightened individual. So, putting
those two together it would be easy to determine that one will be
helping in the healing process not only of self, but of others.
Another point, I believe everyone has had thousands of other
incarnations. I further believe that many of them act as an
*influences* on our lives...setting up, in some cases, karmic
potentials to resolve. Therefore, to me what you were told is
what I would consider a generalized truth for anyone who is into
spiritual growth. Of course, this is in and of itself a leap from
the consensus, most of which is only interested in survival, and
much of that has only vague and desperate ideas of spirituality
(in my opinion.) So, while I'm glad for you that this was your
particular "motivator" and that your interest has been piqued,
be aware that there are far, far greater truths and stunning
probabilities within this spiritual/metaphysical reality. I hope
you get to discover some of this depth.

I was just wondering if you read cards or know a lot about that...I
mean more so than I do just being a beginner and all. I agree with
your conclusions around positive and healing, but what I thought was
that it was the cards that led her to that outcome. I mean, the last
card was the nurturing card which kind of summed everything up I
thought. I kind of simplified the whole reading I guess...you'd have
had to be there I think. Anyway, the way I feel is that even if she
made the whole thing up, it was the perfect thing to say to me that
night... Also, you mentioned past lives...do you think that everyone I
meet is someone I knew in the past...I never considered that if so.

Just wanted to that you for your comments and those who have written me
off-line. Like I said, I've been interested in spirituality for quite
some time but didn't know where to go with this. I'm actually looking
for some guidance here...that's why I signed up for this class. I
thought it might give me some answers/direction. I am excited about
where this may lead... If you have any other ideas I could consider,
just forward them to me...I'd appreciate it. I'm planning on taking an
    astrology course next...

    Thanx again,

I know very little about the Tarot (cards), though lots of people
around me work effectively with them. From what I've seen, the Tarot
can provide a great deal of depth and truth for each person, using
the un-conscious to unravel the sub-conscious, as it's source.
So, if we speak of the Tarot here, I would be well over my head
    very quickly.
Also, do not invalidate your experience...and do not let me or
anyone else invalidate your experience. What you felt/thought/
experienced is for you to own. I did not wish to dampen your
enthusiasm, but rather I wanted to point out that there is a
window of opportunity, in what you described, for your negative
ego to arise. The negative ego has not been adequately talked
about in this conference...maybe one of these days we'll do it...
but for now let me give you a few sentences of what the negative
ego (that "voice" inside your head that goes on and on and on...)
can say: "I was just told by an expert that I am a healer...wow!
Now I am a healer and everything I touch will be healed and saved.
Now I am becoming the best healer in the world. Now I am the
greatest healer that ever lived." But the negative ego can come
not only from a "better than," it can also approach things from
the opposite direction, the "less than": "I failed; I was supposed
to be a great healer, but I can't heal a wet paper bag. I'm a
lousy healer. Since I'm a healer and I'm lousy, I must be a
scum bag, not a worthwhile human at all. I don't deserve to live."
So, again, perhaps I didn't make it clear or do it effectively,
but as I read your note I saw the opportunity there for this to
happen. So, I just wanted you to keep your enthusiasm, but to
balance the information. Is this clearer?
Also, no, not everyone we encounter comes from a past life
(think about it, where do they all start? They've got to start
someplace...) My guess is that the vast majority of people we
encounter are "first-timers." Although, in many cases, karmic
events may set up similar situations or events and therefore
    even people (similar personalities.)
        So, go for it!

I understand about the negative ego stuff...I do always have to be
careful around that because I'm used to doing the "less than" stuff all
the time. I'm working on my self-esteem and self-confidence, and
taking classes seems to help me there. I went to a Crystals class last
night that I found quite interesting. I really didn't know a thing
about crystals, but now I do and plan on studying this more too. I'm
just happy that I'm finally doing things for my benefit and
self-discovery...that's a big step in itself. If I help myself, that's
wonderful, and if I can help someone else because of it, then even
    better...
