I recently experienced a shortage of water from the well at our house
and had a welldigger take a look at the problem. It seems as though our
well has a slow recovery rate. I was told that I have 3 options:
1) Actively conserve water usage. (costs-> minimal)
2) Have the well hydrofracted. (costs-> ~$1500)
3) Dig a new well. (costs-> 3k and up)
During the conversation about hit-and-miss possibilities when digging a
new well, the person mentioned that "you could get good results if
someone who was good at dowsing, came onto the property and used a divining
rod looking for water; if you believe in that stuff".
I've heard numerous stories about people claiming to be "gifted" at
finding subterranean water sources.
Is there any truth or research on these methods?

Re. .0
I believe I've seen a note in this conference dealing with dowsing. You
can try a title search for Dowsing.
I too believe it works, it seems to be one of the most accepted types
of 'supernatural' gifts, which are not supernatural at all, just more
developed in some than others.
Good luck in your search.
