| | Mything in Action,

Thanks for entering -1; I have an interesting personal experience
I'd like to share that relates to what you wrote.

Having no formal instruction in art, I have found myself "compelled"
to do expressive art during this past year. Primarily I've been
drawing and sketching people that I see in my mind from time to time.
People who I know are not necessarily from this planet.

Last week with a little coaching from an artist friend, I began painting
with acrylics. He encouraged me to keep at it when I went home and I
just laughed and said "Yeah, right -- where am I going to find the
space at home to paint???" I basically put the thought out of my mind
and as I was cleaning out a closet the next night, (which hasn't been
cleaned out in years), what do I find but a BRAND NEW kit of *acrylic
paints* AND a tabletop easel! So I said, half to myself and half to
whoever else might be listening, "okay, okay -- I can take a *hint*!
    I'll do a little painting."

I sat down the next night to paint. I didn't have any idea as to
what it was going to be, and just started to paint a background - a
gentle wash of arching colors blending into each other. As I was doing
that I suddenly got a flash of inspiration and it was about a whale,
and I knew that what I would paint.

As it turned out I painted a whale with its head sticking up out of the
water looking back at me. I was then inspired to paint clouds in the
sky and as I did so, was aware that I should also add a little
human-like being that was sitting up on the cloud and this person was
carrying a staff in the shape of a cross.

I finished the painting at that point and now I plan to do other
renditions of it because I know it is missing one other crucial element
    - the addition of 3 suns up in the sky. I've come to realize that
this painting is of a whale on another planet. The images in this
painting speak very powerfully to me, and as I read the base note it
just further emphasized a connection between the two - your excerpt and
    the painting.

    Thanks.

    Karen.*

p.s. And if there is anyone out there feeling strong urges to do some
kind of creative artistic expression - let the inspiration flow!
If you can quiet your judgemental mind for a bit, you may be
utterly amazed at what comes through.

| | Karen,

It sounds like a wonderful picture. I, too feel a strange connection
with the whales ... tales of their slaughter and demise fill me with
such *awful* feelings, I can hardly stand to think about them.

Maybe one day we'll be among the privledged ones to hear the real
    "whale song."

    RE: .0 Cindy

Thanks for entering the excerpt. In the Medicine Cards, the whale
is known as the record keeper. Interesting connection. I have
misplaced my medicine cards (I *hate* when that happens ;-)),
otherwise I would put a little more information in here about the
whale. Maybe someone else who has the cards could share a little
    more?

Also in connection with this, I have had 2 dreams over the past
6 months or so regarding the oceans and their being the storehouse
of *all that ever was or will be*. Recently I was in Santa Fe and
went to a channeling session that dealt with extraterrestrials.
A piece of information that was shared is that "the earth is the
storehouse for nearly all of the galactic family's genetics". When
I heard that, I related it directly to my dreams. Somehow this
excerpt about the whales and dolphins seems connected.

| 1277.4 | Whale - Native American Medicine Cards | CARTUN::BERGGREN | Don't worry -- Be excited! | Sun Jun 10 1990 16:51 | 73 |
| | I just so happen to have my Medicine Card book with me :-). Here
is what is written about Whale:

    			Whale -- Record Keeper

"Whale... of mighty oceans, you have seen it all. Secrets of
the ages are heard within your call.

Teach me how to hear your words, and how to understand, the very
roots of history, of when our world began."

Whale is very much like a swimming library. Whale carries the history
of Mother Earth and is said to have been placed ehre by the Ancients
    from the Dog Star, Sirius.

Biologists say that Whale is a mammal, and very possibly lived on
land millions of years ago. In tribal legend, Whale's move into the
ocean happened when the Earth shifted and Lemuria, the Motherland, went
    below the waves.

All of our petroglyphys speak of the Motherland, Mu, and the
disaster that brought the red race to North America from the West,
beyond the great waters. The symbols in the petroglyps speak of the
rivers and mountains crossed by our ancestors when they sought solid
    ground as the water receded.

Whale saw the events that led to the settling of Turtle Island (N.
America) and has kept the records and knowledge of the Motherland
alive. It is said that Mu will rise again when the fire comes from the
sky and lands in another ocean on Mother Earth. The native medicine
people are waiting for this event as the next sign of Earth changes.
Earth's children will *have* to unite and honor all ways and all races
    in order to survive.

Whale medicine people are coded in their DNA to understand that
sound frequencies can bring up records in the memories of ancient
knowledge. They are usually clairaudient, or able to hear both very
low and very high frequencies. They are usually also psychically
developed and fairly telepathic. Many times, however, they are not
awakened to their gifts until it is time to use the stored records.
Many Whale medicine people are able to tap into the universal mind of
Great Spirit, and have no idea how or why they know what they know.
Only later, when they receive confirmation, do they begin to understand
how they know or why they received the impressions.

Whale medicine teaches us to use the sounds and frequencies that
balance our emotional bodies and heal our physical forms. To recall
*why* the shaman's drum brings healing and peace is to align with Whale's
message. The drum is the universal heartbeat and aligns all beings
    heart to heart.

Before the advent of speech and the primordial language, hand signs
were used, and many tribes were silent most of the time. The language
that was understood was the sounds of Great Spirit's other creatures,
    the animals.

If you pulled the Whale card, you are being asked to tap into these
records and to allow yourself to be sung to by those who have the
original language. We are the only creatures who do not have our own
unique cry or call. Find yours. Allow your voice to use this sound to
    release tension or emotion.

Whale signals a time of finding your origins, of seeing your overall
destiny as coded in your DNA, and of finding the sounds that will release
those records. You may never be the same again. After all, you are the
melody of the Universe, and the harmony is the song of the other creatures.
In using your voice to open your memory, you are expressing your uniqueness
and your personal sound. As you open to this uniqueness, the animals
that are your nine totems may then send their sounds or calls to you or
through you. This will open your personal records so that you may
further explore your soul's history and commune with Whale, who carries
    the history of us all.

| | Re .0
Karen, Is it possible that your 3 suns were really our one sun and
    two moons?
About the time you entered your note, I had a strange idea that
possibly at one stage the earth had two moons, and that it was
apparent to man at that time the effect the moons had on causing
    the wind.
I'm not sure what this has to do with whales, your picture just
reminded me of this wierd idea.

What a neat idea! Yes, it's possible. Actually I vacillated
back and forth between 3 moons and 2 suns, and I finally settled
on 3 suns; but it could easily be a combination of the two! I just
know it was *different* from the sky we look at here today.

    Hmmmm...!

| | This weekend, browsing through my favorite metaphysical bookstore, I
happened upon two pictures I hadn't seen before. They were prints
made into cards by artist Scott Thom. They took my breath away.

One, "Sulphur Bottom Bay" is of a Whale, suspended between what appears
to be a landscape (seascape) of pyramids with glowing tops, and a
golden globe. Between the globe and one very illuminated pyramid, is
the Whale, with a wonderous golden dust connecting the three. My
description doesn't do it justice. If you have a chance, see it for
yourself. I wish I'd bought more than just the one ... I want to be
able to look at it often ...

The other that also was very powerful (also by Scott Thom), is titled
"The Pink Dolphin"). What we see is as if we were also under the
water, alone side, with the sun shining through from above.
The dolphin is curled up, as if on its back, in a C shape,
cradling an infant ... a human infant, looking to be not quite ready to
be born into this world. Quite powerful ...

    enjoy!

If you like Scott Thom's work there is a nice 1990 calendar that
you might be able to find at your local meta-book-store. Maybe
there will be a 1991 version! Also, while in Ft. Lauderdale I
visited the Isis Rising Gallery (owned by Penny Percell (sp), Jach
(Lazaris) Percell's wife) and saw two of his original paintings.
If you think the prints were nice... Whew - and for a few thousand
     bucks...

due out in 3 weeks. I can't WAIT to see it! His work is so

Yes, his stuff is good, as is Gilbert Williams.

By the way, Terry, just a minor point...Peny North is now
married to Michael North (used to be Prestini.) She *used*
to be married to Jach Pursel (Lazaris' channel.) They all share
the same household, however...a very unusual situation.

Just send me mail (the person doesn't want their name used here.)

I was in the gallery last year, Terry and I know Cindy Painter
