| | There's a Natural Food store called Arborway Natural foods in J.P. that
you could check in to see if they have any notices posted. They may
have a book section to browse as well.

There is a pretty descriptive book titled _The Book of Massage_
that covers massage, acupressure (Shiatsu) and reflexology. It is
probably a good starting point.
Hey Frederick, you in here? I'm sure you could lend some advice.

Yeah, I'm everywhere (that I want to be.) ;-)

I've had some training in this, but don't know any specialists,
at the moment, individuals or schools...and besides, I'm in the
state of California, where everyone walks on coals, don't you know.
    ;-)

You may check out the CLO::MASSAGE notesfile. Someone in there
    may have more knowledge.

| | Bancroft School in Worcester offers it, but days only. I've asked them
if they're planning on offering it evenings/weekends in the future, but
so far no plans. They will need enough requests.

I'm looking into some other schools, including New Hampshire Inst for
Therapeutic Arts (Hudson, NH), New England Shiatsu Center (Boston), and
New England Inst of Massage and the Muscular Therapy Institue (both in
    Cambridge).

Lisa, I got a brochure from the New England Shiatsu Center. The
address is 295 Huntington Ave. Rm 205 Boston, MA 02115 (617)
236-2286. Last year they offered a summer intensive as well as special
classes in the spring/summer. I haven't been there yet.

I have taken the intesive weekend study and an 8 week workshop at
the Muscle Therapy Institute in Cambridge. They were GREAT!! I've
narrowed my choices down to MTI and Bancroft (Worcester).

Where did you get your Reiki training?

| | Thanks, Roslyn, the NE Shiatsu Center would be a perfect location for
me (right on the #39 bus from my new home). Although I do intend to
    check out MTI.

I received my training from John Harvey Gray. He learned from Takata.
I did write more info about him in CLO::MASSAGE note # 40.1 if you are
interested in checking it out. You would be quite welcome at the Reiki
    Wellness Center.

Please feel free to write or call me offline, if you want to talk about
all this fun stuff. I am always interested in talking about these
    subjects.

    Peace,
