    One possible idea:
    
    (I feel stupid saying this because it is so similar to the last 
     thing I tried to interpret....oh well......:-)
    
    The "vehicle in the opposing lane" instantly reminds me of the
    unconscious.  It is usually compensating for our conscious attitudes,
    thus the opposing direction.  The unconscious can make us "swerve"
    from our conscious path, often because of some deficiency in our
    current thinking.
    
    What struck me about the hospital scene was that at first you were
    "in" your body (your *awareness* was) - after experiencing the cold-
    ness your awareness was able to see yourself objectively.  This
    might be seen as "waking up" to the "waking dream" of everything
    you have been identifying yourself with consciously.
    
    The first thing that the coldness brought to my mind was death - and
    this seems backed up by the out-of-body experience that is sometimes
    associated with near-death experiences.  This could be significant if
    understood as a symbolic death of your old consciousness in which you
    WERE the patient - a victim of sorts - and if you realize that by
    becoming objectively conscious of your old ways of being, you can begin
    to make use of the power that that knowledge provides - the power of
    conscious choice.

    Have you been able to come up yet with the location of the road
    and the curve?  If not, do you have any associations with it at 
    all?  
    
    Have you been involved recently in any job upheavals that might
    have resulted in an interview?  Do the figures of the doctor and
    the nurse remind you of anyone, or do you have any associations
    with them - not necessarily connected to a hospital?
    
    Has anyone or any situation thrown you a curve recently?

    On the road location - 
    I do live on the top of a small mountain.... but I have not been able
    to associate any place on the way up/down with what was in the dream.
    But..... it "is" someplace I've been - just can't remember it.
    
    On job......
    No upheavals.   
    
    On the doctor/nurse reminding....
    No one.  In fact in the dream I could not clearly see their faces.
    
    Everything has been status que as of lately.... no curve ball........
    
    On the location.
    I'm originally from Arizona - and the a location vagually associates me
    with there..... I'm not sure where but....... (as you're probably
    aware, DEC had a good size buy off back there...... the dream was
    before  the buy-offs in general).

    Is this a precognitive dream?  I don't think so.  You *could* be
    going to have an accident, end up in a hospital, and then have an
    OBE - out-of-body - experience; but I can't seem to fit the creep-
    ing cold into this scenario.  With the cold you're describing, I
    think you'd lose consciousness much sooner than you do in the dream.
    
    The dream could represent what you imagine happening if you accepted
    a buyout....you're going along as usual, but an offer comes up that 
    you don't refuse.  You get some severance pay that puts you into the
    black financially.  You have a very laid back lifestyle, but at the 
    same time you get laid off.  You're being taken care of now.  You're
    in your own little world.  But those figures don't seem to be doing
    much for you.  You get cold feet.  You're not getting anywhere.  It's
    like the salary freeze all over again.  And then there's the tax bite.
    The situation creeps up on you; you're almost spent.  Financially, your
    prospects are dim.  You'll have to dip into your reserves before long.
    So, instead of accepting the buyout, you choose an uncertain future,
    one that's up in the air.  You now look down on the other solution.
    You separate yourself from it.
