| | Rebirthing is a process of going back thru the natural birth
experience. I have been "rebirthed" and was overwhelmed by
the process which for me was as follows. I was with about 6
other people who supported me in the process. The trainer
had you lay in a fetal position and had a dialog about being
born. Depending on if you had a natural birth or C-section,
the dialog was specific to your particular birth. I felt
connected with the feelings and love at the time of birth and
then went thru time to the age of 12 and got to be in touch with
the change in feelings, emotions, etc. I found the experience
to be very loving and touching. the main purpose of the process
was to get in touch with feelings or emotions you had around your
birth, whether they be loving, fear, pain, etc. so that you can
recognize how these feelings may formulate beliefs that you still
    use today. I neat experience.....Ruth

| | I believe that many (if not all) rebirthers use breathing
as a way to induce the "regression." *somebody* Leonard (his name
has slipped my mind) used to be well known for doing rebirthing
and I used to know (in my massage travails) people who were rebirthers
and I have known many people who have been rebirthed. In many ways it
is similar to past life regression. I have not done it myself so
I have no first hand knowledge of it. It does seem to have benefitted
many people, though, although it seems to have been more "popular"
(around California) 5-10 years ago than it presently is.
This just reminded me of Sondra Ray (who hung around a great
    deal with *Leonard*.)
My girlfriend was rebirthed in New York City nearly a decade
ago and says that she was able to "remember" the umbilical cord
around her neck. Her father was stunned when she told him for those
present at her birth had never mentioned it to anyone.

" At some point in rebirthing there is a reconnection to Divine

Energy and as a result you may experience vibration and tingling

in your body. It starts in different places in different people

and before rebirthing is complete, it is usually is felt through

out the whole body." also "Negative mental mass can be permanently

dissolved by continuing to breathe in a regular rhythm while your

body is vibrating and tingling - experiencing your reconnection

to the Divine Energy....Lenard Orr and Sondra Ray.

If someone would like more info on rebirthing, is there any info
literature, books etc that would be recommended. Also, locations
where this is performed, what it costs etc.

Note number 701.6 had a good source...Leonard Orr is the person
I had (temporarily) forgotten in my previous note, and 701.6
"had it." Check out books by him...he, in turn, may provide other
    sources.

| 701.9 | There is some info in the NEW AGE CATALOGUE | WRO8A::GUEST_TMP | HOME, in spite of my ego! | Wed Apr 20 1988 23:16 | 16 |
| | I hate to repeat myself so much, but here is another place to
find some information on Rebirthing. Check out p. 82-84 in
the NEW AGE CATALOGUE (mentioned in several other notes, notably
711 and 494.8.) Incidentally, in addition to the aforementioned
Leonard Orr and Sondra Ray (in previous replies) they mention

      Associated Integrative Rebirthers
      1325 Springfield Pike
      Cinncinnati, Ohio, 45215
      phone 800-641-4645 ext. 232

There is also mention of a person named Jim Leonard, who wrote a
    book entitled "Rebirthing"

I can see where someone might think so, but, *alas!* NO!
It's just that as I was going through it I kept seeing things
that have come up so often for so many in these notes. It really
seems much better to me than I thought from the advance "billing."
I honestly feel that almost every regular participant in DEJAVU
can find something of value in it for themselves. The cost is not
prohibitive, even with DEC salaries. :-)
