I have a scary thought for Halloween.What if everyone were convinced
by some irrefutable,and repeatable series of experiments that
(insert your disbelieved beliefs here)were true.Would the president be
asking for volunteers to close the psychic window of vulnerability.
Should we be trying to convince others of our particular beliefs?
Perhaps there is a reason why proof eludes society.

I've seen a note somewhere that described an incident in which
military helicopters approached some gifted children and asked
their parents to "volunteer" the children. I believe the military
is quite seriously investigating the military applications of
paranormal phenomena.

Some of the ancient traditions have a general rule of keeping silent
about accomplishments.
The co-opting of an ability is reason enough for that tradition.

Also, as long as the individual members of society continue to look
for proof and enlightenment from some outside source, or for someone
else to do the work the progression on the path for them, society
as a whole will never elevate its conciousness to the point that
it occasionally dreams of.
