    Carla,

For more on Lazaris, take a look at #358. Frederick has put in
quite a bit already. (Sorry if this has been already pointed out
    elsewhere to you...).

| | Cindy,

Thanks! I've spent some time today reading Frederick's
information on Lazaris in 288, so I appreciate a further
    	cross-reference in 358. I'll check into it!

But the intent of .0 really wasn't to start a discussion
on Lazaris, it was to smile 8-) at the fact that something
so important to so many of us was acknowledged across the
airwaves by a respected actress (and other than Ms.
MacClaine) to many millions of people. Good stuff!

| 494.3 | Johnny Carson mentions Sharon, too. | PUZZLE::GUEST_TMP | HOME, in spite of my ego! | Fri Sep 25 1987 19:09 | 21 |
| | ...I just tried to enter a note and got a message saying that the
note will not be entered into this conference...I wonder if it was
    something I said?
    FYI
    re: .0,.2
Johnny Carson made a reference to Sharon's apparent longwindedness
both on Wednesday and Thursday nights. Last night he mentioned
Lazaris (Luh-zar'-is.) He said that Sharon, among the people she
thanked, was a being named Lazarus (sic) who speaks through a former
shoe salesman named Jack Pursel (to my knowledge Jach has never
sold shoes.) He wondered how come spirits always seem to talk through
someone to actresses rather than actresses having spirits talk through
them to the shoe salesmen. (He didn't get many laughs.)

(I will be doing another two-day workshop with Lazaris this weekend.
Many of you will be in my thoughts.)

    Frederick

| | re: .3, .4
Jach started off the weekend by mentioning the "plug" on
Johnny Carson. During the first break I spoke with Jach for a while
and he told me that he had never sold shoes, that Peny *was* a little
bit hurt by Shirley's story in her new book (and explained that
Shirley had not really listened to what Peny had tried to explain.)
Sharon was there this weekend...perhaps to have more anonynmity
than she would have in L.A...it is interesting to see her walking
around the lobby of the hotel with hundreds of people around not
    noticing/recognizing her.

The weekend was spectacular and on many levels. It almost becomes
futile to try to tell others how incredible these experiences are.
Lazaris in these workshops is simply awesome...I will not make an
effort to say much about it in this note mostly because I have already
"commandeered" at least one note that covers this so perhaps later
I will enter more in there. I will say that I thought of all of
you noters often and there were many, many times that I wished some
of you could be there to see/listen to the content of the information.

Here are a few points that may interest some of you (and these
were mostly asides, certainly the main body of the information will
never be available to anyone but the participants.)

    Lazaris:
These workshops are turning more and more away from being
"college courses" and into heart-felt experiences.

Time is our friend for it gives us the cushion between
thoughts we have and the reality we create. It is the net under
the high wire act. After physicality, every thought, joy, doubt,
fear, etc. becomes reality instantly. Without fun, it would
        be hell.
Learning to have fun is the most profound thing we will
ever do. [this entire weekend was devoted to this subject...
        it was discussed thoroughly.]

The turbulence in our world is over "God." [this was
expanded and expounded on.] [The difference between those
who use "God" as their manipulation and *US* is] We are lonely
people looking for love in our life-but we admit it. We may
be more but we aren't better.

[here's one you all will like] Extra-terrestials are
coming more and more to us to learn spirituality from us. They
are interested in our "maps." Though they are technically
advanced, they are not necessarily spiritually involved.
[He also stated that ET's were not responsible for creating
the pyramids, etc. in Egypt or the Inca, Aztec, Toltec
civilizations...humans beyond the "bridge of belief" were.]

We have a sub-conscious that is cluttered with things
that are harmful to our growth. Too many half-truths exist
in there. Until we can love ourselves enough, there are many
techniques, etc. that we can do. When we say "love hurts",
the sub-conscious believes it and uses it (it likes consistency.)

The metaphysician is not the one with no problems...he's
        the one with many solutions.

The mind is the synergy of the brain, thinking, and feeling.

[When he said the following, it took me aback a bit]
Once upon a time, things were done for us. Later, we wanted
to do them alone. Now, we must realize that we are NOT going
to do it alone. We need to ask for help. We need to work
WITH God/Goddess/ALL-That-IS and can receive the help from any
of a number of sources (the unseen friends.)

Anyway, this is not the place for all of this or more of it
than this, so I won't go further.

    Frederick

| 494.7 | Another plug for a friend. | WRO8A::GUEST_TMP | HOME, in spite of my ego! | Tue Feb 02 1988 02:19 | 22 |
| | On "GERALDO" last Friday, actress/writer Renee' Taylor was a guest
who was "pushing" her new diet book. Also, there were two other
guests who were similarly promoting their book. The show was a
fairly good and fun one, but what made it more interesting (for
me) was that Renee' talked about the New Age and the Old and had
a whole mound full of crystals with her (apparently not all hers.)
AND, there was a clip with Lazaris talking shown also (he talked
for about fifteen seconds.) Renee has been a friend of Lazaris
for a long time...I saw her and a girlfriend and Renee's husband
(actor Joe Bologna) during a 2-day seminar 18 months ago and, not
knowing who she was at the time, found her to be quite a character
    (she is "slightly irreverent".)

Should the show be repeated in re-runs, it may be of value to many
of you (the diet concepts are unique and positive results were
    related by audience members.)

As I stated in 510, GERALDO transcipts are available.

| 494.8 | Jan./Feb. "Body, Mind & Spirit" | WRO8A::GUEST_TMP | HOME, in spite of my ego! | Fri Feb 05 1988 01:59 | 33 |
| | Thanks to a tip from a DEJAVUer, I "discovered" an article
in the Jan/Feb issue of 'BODY, MIND & SPIRIT' magazine on Lazaris.
Jach (the channel for Lazaris) is on the cover. I had a hard time
locating the magazine but it can be found (it was formerly called
    "Psychic Guide".) (Their address is:
                      Island Publishing Co., Inc.
                      Body, Mind & Spirit
                      Box 701
                      Providence, RI 02901

            Phone is: (800) 338-5216)

The article is a fairly good one featuring a discussion with
Jach along with a talk with Lazaris and a short excerpt from Lazaris'
    book " The Sacred Journey."

As a separate note, the editors of Body, Mind & Spirit are coming
out with "The New Age Catalogue" (published by Doubleday) and
    should be out in March.
This will contain over 1500 entries of information resources
on the entire spectrum of "New Age" activities.
         256 pages.

If ordered in advance- $12.95 plus $2 postage (before
March 15) Same address and phone as above.
[I don't know how much of a savings this will provide, especially
if purchased in a bookstore in the future, since the *regular*
    price is $14.95]
