| Though I do not use the phrase, I believe that those who
use it refer to the harmony that they have (or align themselves
to or with) towards what they consider to be the ultimate,
all powerful forces of love. Sometimes this love is perceived
as a beautiful light which is beyond verbage. People who die
and "come back" oftentimes describe the incredible tunnel of
light that they pass through towards "the other side". Many who
have "enlightenment" events or strong moments of emotional
release (in a most-loving way) often also reveal that there has
been a unifying communion with light. In my belief system,
which is strongly influenced by Lazaris (see 316 and 358 if
you wish,) I find perfect "sense" in the concept of thought
being the core of our reality. To that end, thought creates
light, which then creates sub-atomic particles, which then
creates atomic particles, etc. The closer we get "backwards,"
if you will, towards "HOME", the closer we get to experiencing
the totality of "All-That-IS." In this particular scheme of things,
"Light" becomes a "closer" essence of that *love.* To wish to
walk in the light, as it were, then becomes a pretty lofty and
beautiful desire (in my view.)
Others no doubt have other views/concepts of this term
and I have "faith" that they will respond in kind.

In addition to what Frederick wrote, I'd like to say that I perceive
'light' to be the ultimate truth, in addition to love.
Recommended books which touch a bit on this topic with a slightly
Christian slant are written by M. Scott Peck, and should be read
in the following order:
- The Road Less Traveled
- People Of The Lie
- The Different Drum
If you would like to look at the tables of contents for these books,
they can be found in the 'M. Scott Peck' topic. Dr. Peck is a
Christian, however he is also very knowledgable in other major world
religions and his writings, I find, speaks to all people regardless
of their religious beliefs (or lack thereof).
There is also a very good account of an out of body (OBE or OOBE)
experience in the topic 'search no more', which can be found elsewhere
in this conference.
For more advanced reading, perhaps the Shirley Maclaine series which
includes "Dancing In The Light' might also better explain 'the light'.
