This may not be the conference to ask this, but there's so much
here about crystals, stones, and gems that I'll ask.
Does anyone know how you become a certified gemologist? Anyone
know of colleges, etc. that offer courses?
Any help will be appreciated.

The American Gemological Society offers many courses in gemology,
some of which lead to a certicate. Pop into any jewelry store that
displays the AGS symbol and ask for the address.
