| | I went to the Boston seminar with three friends. We all thought
it well worth the fee charged.
I was extremely impressed with Shirley -- she literally "glows"
and is incredably "together". The one major impression was that
she has no desire to be anyone's "guru" or to collect "followers".
In fact, she pointed out that is someone attempts to deal with
her in this manner, is means that they are attempting to give her
their "personal power", which in turn, upsets the "balance" which
    she has achieved.

The seminar consisted of a series of group meditations interspersed
with informational sessions and question-answer sessions. The energy
present in the room during a meditation with three thousand people
is pretty awesome!!! She had some interesting perspectives on some
issues that I had not run into before. She has a new book done
-- due out this fall I believe, and is working on another having
to do with the splitting of souls into male and female parts.
I can elucidate further on this if you are interested.

| | In terms of success -- most of the people I talked to during the
seminar did indeed feel they had gotten in touch with their "higher
selves" -- some of them were in very interesting forms (.e.g., fish,
birds, etc.). She said that the form is usually imposed by us --
something we feel comfortable and nonthreatened by -- and often
    changes from time to time.

She put major emphasis on balancing the chakras - each meditation
began with some form of chakra balancing. She used the concept
of crystals heavily in this, often having us visualize the chakra
with the color, and then "fleck it with crystal". She also used
water heavily in the visualizations in combination with crystal.

She spent a couple of hours during one day with the concept of time
-- in that the past, present, and future and all happening
simultaneously -- and as a result can affect each other. I had
read the same concept in the Oversoul Seven books by Jane Robers,
    I believe.

The most interesting perspective -- one that I had not run into
before in my reading -- was in the area of male-female duality.
She is presently working on another book that deals heavily with
this issue. One of final meditations, and one that seemed to affect
a lot of people profoundly, had to do with reaching back to a time
when all souls were both male and female. In the course of the
meditation, she led you to a "cavern" where you immersed yourself
in a liquid and the male and female sides were seperated. You had
the option of choosing either side. The implication was that this
had indeed happened to us all, and that the other side is your "soul
mate". (This is a very brief and sketchy description in terms of
the actual length and intensity of the experience).

Another interesting meditation involved traveling to a crystal dome,
where you went inside. On the facets of the crystal inside, you
were to visualize all the things that had happened to you in your
life which were blocking you from you spiritual search. Then you
allowed the crystal dome to crumble -- therby releasing you from
    the blockages.
