| | My philosophy at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, Feb. 4th...

Right now, it is my personal belief, that we are all free to choose or
be whatever we want, and that there is no right or wrong, only differences.
Whatever I choose to believe in will be real for me. Whatever anyone else
believes in, will be real for them. Therefore, it's not necessary to try
and change people to follow my belief...because it is ONLY my belief and is
not the one, right way for everybody. The only reasons for trying to get
someone to believe my belief, are to convince myself that I have found the
"real light" because other people are believing it too -OR- I believe I
can help someone by showing them to "the light", which is really only MY
light. If my light helps someone else right now, fine. But it is very
egotistical to believe that my light is the only light.
It is also my personal belief that we are all actors in a great big cosmic
play...God's play (our play)...God, being all. I believe that we are all
infinite, with the ability (perhaps buried deeply in ourselves) to tap into
all of the knowledge of the Universe. We chose to come into this world, and
live out these lives, and have the kinds of experiences that we have. I
believe that we are all parts (collectively with the rest of the Universe)
of the same thing. Perhaps the one mass split up into lots of different
forms, to interact with each other, for more variation. And perhaps we have
forgotten this (throughout time of playing the game) and as a result, feel
trapped, confused, and out-of-control.
We may be here just to act out the parts we have chosen this time, as with
all the other times we've chosen other roles. All parts may offer a unique
experience of their own. You could call that a belief in reincarnation, but
I think a lot of the belief about reincarnation suggests that we're here to
work "out" something until we get it right (and therefore, we're basically
"bad"), and I don't think we are bad or have anything to work "out" other
than perhaps our own blindness of who we are. It is not my belief that we
have to serve (to make up past errors), or that we have to search (to find
answers and peace). I think the Universe is naturally, perfectly, aligned
and balanced and that we don't have to DO anything. I think we can find
happiness by simply being attentive to what's here and just BEing.
Yes, Jesus said "Seek and ye shall find." He could have just as easily said,
"Be open and you will see." I believe he said what he needed to say at that
time, to that mentality of people, and based on his own beliefs. I don't
think it's advantageous to live on someone else's WORDS...they're too limited
and I don't know what context they were said in, or how accurately they have
been translated.
As for all the psychic realms we can explore, I think they can be a lot
of fun and very interesting. Psychic things, spiritual leaders, books, or
anything else, are just tools to me. The experiences are unique, but the
messages are not. Experiences are fun to talk about, and the messages are
fun to talk about. But they are separate things and I can get off balance
if I confuse the means with the message. The means is not what brings the
message...my WILLINGNESS TO SEE is what does. The message can be gotten
anywhere when I am open to seeing it.
Also, it doesn't seem consistent to claim to have an open mind simply
because I believe in such things, and then to clamp on to those things as
if they are the one truth. To have an open mind means to have no doors I
can shut. So things flow THROUGH me, instead of being locked in selectively.
Things that are kept from flowing and changing become stagnant, just like
water if it doesn't flow. But to experience what flows through me, and not
try to hold on to it, I get just as much out of it and then more can flow
through...offering more variation, experience, and learning. THAT is what
an open mind is to me.
Some things I remind myself about often are: If you say you KNOW, you can
be sure you don't. If you think you've found "the" way, you can be sure
you're blocked.
In this world, I think most of us believe we must have something to hold on
to. We think it makes us secure. Then we move from idol to idol, hoping
that someone can tell us what to do, while all the time, holding firmly onto
our beliefs. If that idol were to tell us to let go of what we're holding
onto, we'd probably decide that wasn't the right idol. It's really up to us
what we want to believe in, but I don't think that makes it the best belief
for everyone. In holding onto (and narrowly focusing on) anything, I feel I
am blocking myself from seeing what is *here* and NOW...which is probably
what *I* have been "looking" so desperately for.
My philosophy is to: Let things flow through me without trying to hold on.
Be open to see what's here instead of looking somewhere else for it. Be
cautious whenever I start thinking I know the answer to something. To love
in all situations.
I don't always succeed at following this philosophy, but I have changed a
lot of things I wasn't happy with, and am still continuing to do so. That's
useful for me right now.
Someone has said, "Happiness is like a butterfly, which when pursued will
always be just beyond your grasp, but when you sit still, will alight upon
you." I truly believe this.
