Just wanted to share an experience that happened to me not too long
ago and thought perhaps you would find interesting to.
I had just crawled into bed after an exhausting day of moving
furniture and was just drifting off to sleep when I saw it.
"It" was the form of an american indian and he glided across the room
then stopped at the closet of my room crossed his arms, squatted
and then dissappeared. The signal reaching my sub-conscious mind
was....Oh a spirit. And then I awakened completely and with it
the realization.......A spirit!!!!! I was filled with fear and
now thinking about it later I wonder why. There wasn't anything
malevolent about this spirit. To the contrary, it was as if he
was in a guardian role.
Also interesting to me was how fast my mind calculated it was a
spirit and the interesting things I picked up on before I went into
a panic on realizing what my visitor was. For instance, there
was form but no substance, I could see right through it. His body
seemed illumined yet shadowy. I couldn't see the lower part of his
feet and there really wasn't any detail to the rest, ie, muscle tone,
facial countenance, yet he seemed strong and determined. Now I
wonder, can the mind work that fast and did I really see a spirit
or is it just my creative subconcious at work. And why the fear.
Has anyone had any similer experiences seeing anything
or anyone that might be construed as spirits and care to share?
I know now I wouldn't be afraid if it happened again. Would you?

I have been assured that fear, and even terror, is an
appropriate response to a numinal being. So, don't be
upset even if you are afraid next time.

When I was 16 years old, my girlfriend Tammy and I were fooling
around at my house experimenting with our hair with curling irons.
At that time both of us had to be home around six for dinner. Tammy
lived right behind my house. There was a white fence that we use
to have to jump over and cut threw somebodys yard. We use to walk
each other half way up to the fence each nite and say goodbye.
After dropping Tammy off I came back to my house, it was dark inside
and went to turn on the lights. At the end of my hallway there
was a just a head of a lady, she was wearing her hair up in a bun
and had not a mean look on her face but stern. Every step I took
in the same rythm the spirts head came closer and closer. I jumped
back turned around and ran back out the door. It was dark outside
and I was already scared enough being out in the dark wasn't helping
so I went back inside, got on the phone with every person I could
possibly think of until my parents came home. Needless to say when
I told my parents about it they probally thought I was sniffing
glue. But it happened.
