Is there anyone who knows if the NCAA holds a final devision three
basketball tournament to crown a devision three champion. If so is it
run the same way as the devision one championship and where is it held.

I think there is a Division III NCAA Championship, and I know that
not all Division III schools participate. The top Div. III school
in New England, Colby, will take part in the ECAC tourney but not in
the NCAA's. Too bad, because Colby (18-1) is quite a powerhouse.
The reason given is the emphasis on academics and all that.

re: .1
Yeah, Colby, especially in hockey (last year stands out in my
mind) was excellent. They split with RIT 8^) (who later went on
to the champeenship only to lose to Wisconsin-Stevens Pt.!! 8^(
But back to basketball, yeah they do have a divsion III tournament.
I think the championship game is played at the home of the team
with the best record, most available seats, etc.. out of the final
4... Could be wrong though.
