	Please take a look at the README.vms in the Perl source code kit, available as http://www.perl.com/CPAN/src/5.0/latest.tar.gz (.gz = GNU Zip, the Digital UNIX 4 has this). If nothing else helps, there is a VMSPerl mailing list that should have all the resident VMS Perl gurus hanging around. How to get on that list can be found from the README.vms.
