6551.0. "Connect External Device to BA36R?" by CHR27::YEUNG (im2bz2p,ru?) Fri Apr 04 1997 17:37
How do you connect an external SCSI-2 device to a BA36R StorageWORKS
shelf? The BA36R is connected to a KZPAA-AA in an AlphaServer 4100.
The BA36R shelf only has a TLZ09-VA in slot 5. All other slots
are empty (except for power supply). The external SCSI device
(in this case a SCSI-to-IEEE adapter) has SCSI ID 4.
Can the external device be connected to the bottom high-density port
on the BA36R? What's the maximum length of the SCSI cable?
Any DIP switches to flip on the BA36R or on the KZPAA?
Thanks
Tim
