6494.0. "RA230/plus docu and floppies wrong" by JGODCL::BRINKS (Peter Brinks, DTN 7889-9458 Logist. Eng/Tr Nijmegen) Wed Mar 19 1997 07:15
    Hello,

    I received two KZPAC modules, the new raid controller, also known
    as Raid array 230/plus.
    The raid controllers were shipped with the old documentation and the
    old floppies intended for the KZPSC.

    I assume this happens more often and people might use the wrong config
    utility (the old one) to configure them.

    I tried to copy the correct files from:
    SUBSYS::PUBLIC:[ASTRO.RELEASE.ALPHA.PLUTO_PLUS.V1_0_kit.RCU_V1_0] for
    the stand-alone rcu flop.
    This worked OK.
    Copying the unix_kit_v10.tar (stand-alone utilities for unix) didn't
    work. (the copying worked, but the tar xf command sees the file as
    a data file and is refusing to 'un-tar'.

    My questions: Is this packaging problem known?
    	          What will happen if the old rcu flop and the old unix
                  on-line utilities floppy are being used to configure
    		  the kzpac? [This WILL happen]
                  Can anybody check if the file unix_kit_v10.tar is OK on
                  subsys? I copied via ftp to a dos floppy and via mtools
    		  to unix.
    Thanks,
    peter.

| 6494.1 | partnumbers assigned for the correct floppies | JGODCL::BRINKS | Peter Brinks, DTN 7889-9458 Logist. Eng/Tr Nijmegen | Wed Mar 19 1997 07:17 | 7 |
| | In addition to previous note, can anybody tell me if
    partnumbers have been assigned to the new configuration floppies
    for the KZPAC. I was able to find the correct partnumbers for
    the conf manuals but didn;t find the partnumbers of the configuration
    floppies.
